My work is an exploration into the unseen world of consciousness.
I am inspired by such artists as Dali, Escher and Monet, and fascinated
with the writings of psychologists Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell.
The incredible creative synergy of these influences merges with
my Zen meditation practice to inform my art.

The goal of my art is to inspire the viewer to the possibilities
of the unseen world to which we all belong. I offer my art as
a conduit to that last amazing frontier – Inner Space, one’s
                own consciousness.

As a digital artist, my background is grounded in photography,
having worked as an on-location commercial photographer for more
than 30 years. I was always intrigued with the process of manipulating
images in the darkroom. In fact, my earliest art was created by
sandwiching transparencies before the printing process, resulting
in images that were photographic yet surreal. Ten years ago, I
jumped over the edge into the digital world with my first Macintosh
computer. The first six weeks or so, the learning curve was so
steep that I questioned my sanity. I thought I had bought the
most expensive boat anchor known to man. And after having traveled
the world as a location photographer, sitting in front of a computer
monitor was, at times, as challenging as the technology.

But I soon discovered that the computer gave me new freedom to
express, create and experiment, more than I ever could have imagined.
Those mysterious bits and bytes have seduced me into exploring
other realms of reality. In essence, I see my life and my art
as a sacred gift. My hope is that the nearly endless images embedded
within my art can transport the viewer to a place of his or her
                own sacredness.
